what colour does this sound like?
My project is all about synaesthesia and its connection with sound and movement. people with this condition get scences mixed up in the brain. its actually quite a complicated condition with the subjects brain transmitters crossing over each other. these people really are wired differently. i think thats quite cool. wassily kandinski was a synaesthetic and he produces amazing sound paintings. he apoints the different notes on the stave with a different colour and paints to simulate the tempo. this is what i hope to do on my project. to produce a sound painting involving movement.

what I have learned about movement at the moment.
ok, right now i am educated in the basics of movement and some more interesting facts.
movement is a very wide subject involving anything from wind to the smallest of insects. it can have links as loose as sound (which is what i am focusing on) or radio waves. we can use physical objects in movement like opening a draw or door. so movement can link to everything even if the link is barely noticable.
one of the things i have reserched deeply is syneatheasia because it links sound to shapes and shapes to colour or sounds to colouyr. there are aproximatly 27 various different kinds of syneathesia. i am focusing on the sound to colour version as i can produce a sound painting in responce to movement. it will link with my reserch and the painting will suggest movement. as i links to movment loosly it will work.
my project is to produce a work in responce to movement. my key artist in my reserch is wassily kandinski. he produces sound paintings by appointing a note to a colour and dividing the ratio of colours to produce a graphical representation of the piece of music. he paints to the tempo to give the painting the right feel. soft sounds make a smooth painting and hard sounds make a harsh painting.
